  • The director of Minugurulu has celebrated his birthday recently and has raised a toast for their immense help and all their good times together during the journey of Minugurulu..
    He had thrown a party exclusively for close friends and well wishers. Film stars like Abhijeeth Poondla, Vamsi Krishna, Rudraksh, Diksha Panth and directors/producers like Chandra Siddharth, Veera Shankar, and other important members from the film fraternity such as (to name a few) Gundu Hanumanthu Rao, Madhura Sreedhar, Mohan Vadlapatla(from film chamber) etc.. were also present at the party.

  • The national and international award winning movie “MINUGURULU”, directed and produced by Ayodhyakumar Krishnamsetty is now selected for the 87th Oscar Contenders. The movie is one among the 323 other films that are competing for the Oscars this year.
    After Indians dazzled at the Oscars via the British production ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, which is now an Indian production, both made and directed by an Indian has muscled its way to the Oscar’s broad list previously. Now Minugurulu is one such Telugu film, following the similar footsteps in the path to glory, which has made its way into the Academy Awards and is eligible for contending in all the categories of the 87th Academy Awards including the 2014 Best Picture Category at the Oscars.
  • A team of the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) decided on the film Minugurulu, to be the official Telugu film to be considered for Oscar nomination.
    TFPC honorary secretary Kodali Venkateshwara Rao said: “Minugurulu was selected as the Telugu film industry’s entry because of the exposure that it got at the international level.
    “Good to know that Producers council and Film federation of India selected Minugurulu for Oscar foriegn category selections. Thats a pleasant surprise and Producers council had mentioned that they had selected only one Telugu film this year which is Minugurulu. Looks like Minugurulu saga continues…” says Ayodhyakumar, the director/producer of Minugurulu
  • Minugurulu successfully had its US premiere screenings in areas of  Portland,Virginia, New Jersey, Atlanta, California, Texas, Columbia, Maryland and Washington DC. We are glad to say that we have got a good response from the audience as well as the film critics as well. The local news media has covered these screenings and the director Ayodhya Kumar has actively interacted with the audience in a round of question and answer session after each premiere.
  • The director received the ATA distinguished recognition award in the area of Fine Arts towards his contributions and accomplishments in new age film-making. AyodhyaKumar received the award at the 13th ATA Conference on July 3rd, 2014 in the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia, USA. He was Felicitated by Ata President Karunakar Rao Madhavaram, Rameshwar Rao Jupally Chairman, Myhome and other ata committee members at the Conference which was held from 3rd to 5th July 2014.

  • Minugurulu has celebrated its success run in the US on 28th June 2014. The director is also entitled to receive the ATA distinguished recognition award in the area of Fine Arts towards his contributions and accomplishments in new age film-making. AyodhyaKumar will be receiving the award at the 13th ATA Conference, July 3-5, 2014 in the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia, USA.
    The director is conducting a workshop on the making of Minugurulu film on July 4th 2014 at 11:00AM at ATA Conference 2014. ATA Film & Photography committee have expressed their immense pleasure in having AyodhyaKumar for this guest event.
    In his workshop he will give tips, fundamentals in making film and interact and share his experiences and challenges he faced during pre and post release of the film, which will be very useful to the aspiring young talented directors and producers.

  • Minugurulu Film success meet was held in Dallas TX and over 100 people were present at the event.
    Famous Lyricist Sirivennela garu was invited to the event who happened to be at the same place at the time.
    A small preview of the film was shown to him and Sirivennala garu applauded the efforts of the young Director Ayodhyakumar.
    He welcomed young directors such as Ayodhya Kumar who bring new ideas into the industry.
    Ayodhya Kumar took this opportunity in announcing his next attractive project called “Pakka commercial Cinema” with a tagline “meeru korinatte”. Sirivennela garu unveiled the poster for the forthcoming movie of Respect Creations a production house founded by Ayodhya Kumar.
    Director Ayodhya Kumar also mentioned that he is releasing Minugurulu movie in the US in two weeks and requested to support social commercial movies such as Minugurulu by watching them in the theatres.

  • Ayodhykumar Krishnamsetty, the director and producer of Minugurulu has been selected to receive the American Telugu Association(ATA) distinguished recognition award in the area of Fine Arts. ATA is proud and humbled to recognize Kumar’s contribution and accomplishments in new age film-making.
    Ayodhya Kumar will receive the award at the 13th ATA Conference, July 3-5, 2014 in the Philadelphia Convention Center in Philadelphia, USA.
  • Minugurulu celebrated its 50 days successful completion of the movie on 14th March 2014 and to mark this a press conference was held at Hyderabad and the event was celebrated. Since its release in January, and film has got a very good response and this film has received high ratings.
  • Its our great honor to be selected as the best family drama film and Minugurulu is awarded the prestigious Akkineni Vamsee International Award.
    This award is presented by the cultural organization- Vamsee Art theatres which organizes Vamsee International film awards.
    Vamsee International film based awards are being presented since 40 years now and they have acquired their own unique significance and are sometimes compared to the Nandi Awards too.
    This is the first time Vamsee International has started giving Akkineni Vamsee International awards and we are very glad for being the first to receive such an award. Indeed a very proud moment for Minugurulu movie.

  • Ayodhyakumar Krishnamsetty, the Director/Producer of Minugurulu has screened Minugurulu movie as a part of the World Braille Day celebrations on January 9th 2014, to create awareness about the challenges faced by the Visually Impaired People in their day to day life.
    Famous Indian film actress Shriya Saran is the guest of honor. Other guests present at the screening are National Association for the Blind President J.K Rao garu, Secretary Telkar Baba garu. Shreya has volunteered for many Charity Organizations and is well known for her charity work. She is a long time patron for the blind. She watched the movie along with the visually impaired students from many organizations.
  • Ayodhyakumar Krishnamsetty Director/ Producer of the Telugu movie Minugurulu under Respect Creations has organized a 5K Walk on January 6th 2014 on the occasion of World Braille Day, in support of the visually impaired community at Necklace Road. An orchestra was organized by the visually impaired students from Vishwa Dhruk foundation. A huge crowd participated in the walk and the response was overwhelming.
    The walk was flagged off by the chief guest, Gunnam Gangaraju garu. Other prominent participants are Gangadhar garu, Telkar Baba of National Association for the Blind (NAB) , Vasan Eye Care Hyderabad group Vice President Dr. Pradeep Kumar garu and his entire team, Minugurulu Protagonist Master Deepak Saroj along with co-actor Srinivas Sai, STARS Founder K.Ajay Kumar garu, Chini Chini Asha director Dr. Kiran garu, Famous Numerologist Daivagna Sharma garu and many more to name.
    The purpose of the walk is mainly to bring awareness about visually impaired challenges in their day to day life.
  • Minugurulu movie is screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival on 26th December 2013. Minugurulu is the only Telugu film that is selected for the screening. The film was appreciated by the audience even in Kolkata as well.
  • Minugurulu celebrated its Platinum Disc and audio success meet which is followed by Musical Night on Nov 11th 2013 at Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam. It was a huge success, celebrated with much pomp and grandeur. Minugurulu is also selected in 6 International Film Festivals.

  • Director Geetha Krishna garu (“Kokila”, “Sankeerthana” and other movies), Filmmaker, producer, actor Jhansi garu and Anish Kuruvilla– known to us as an actor (Anand movie), and a Director (Ko ante Koti Movie)  attended the screening of Minugurulu on 11th Februry 2013 at Prasad Labs.M. Vedakumar garu, President of  “Forum for a better Hyderabad”,  also watched the movie and expressed his views about the movie. He said that Minugurulu is a nice film and he stressed on the need for making this kind of films. Vedakumar garu praised the kids for their wonderful acting.Other people who were present for the screening are Multidimensional Distributor- Vasu garu, Documentary filmmaker- Vipul Kulkarni garu, Aman Vedika (a NGO) Director- Anuradha garu and POW.   • Eminent Director, Screenwriter, Producer Shekhar Kammula garu who has won 6 Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards, and is known for his movies such as “Dollar Dreams”, “Anand”, “Godavari” “Happy Days” and other such films, came for the screening of Minugurulu which was screened on 26th January 2013 at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.

    Sekhar garu liked the movie and he said that Minugurulu is a well made film and it is a bold attempt made by the Director to portray the inner strength present in the visually challenged kids in the film. He said that the movie is very inspiring and that the film is very well directed.

  • Padmabhushan Chiranjeevi garu watched the screening of Minugurulu which was held at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad on 23rd December 2012 . He was all praises for the flm “Minugurulu” and appreciated the director for coming up with such a beautiful movie.

  • The logo launch of Minugurulu was held shortly after the screening at Prasad Labs at 6:00 PM on 23rd December. The logo was unveiled and launched by Chiranjeevi garu who later spoke to the press about the movie and the director and the great need for the encouragement of such movies.
